Dens is chat for your friends or community: text channels, DMs, voice and screen share. Each community is a den, and it runs on a computer one of you owns instead of a company’s servers. Everyone in it runs Dens on their own computer too, and opens it in their browser.
The guides
- Install: putting Dens on Linux or Windows, or its Flatpak on other Linux distributions, updating it and removing it.
- Join a den: invites, your passwords and recovery codes, new devices, DMs and notifications.
- Host a den: a domain, your router and Caddy, step by step, then running the den.
- Host on a server: Dens on a Linux server or container, and moving a den there from your own computer.
- Backups and moving: keeping your data safe, moving to another computer, and handing a den on.
- Privacy: who can read what, and what Dens doesn’t protect you from.
